What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal with the Clarity II is a cutting-edge treatment that uses dual-wavelength technology (755nm Alexandrite & 1064nm Nd:YAG) to permanently reduce unwanted hair. Unlike older lasers, Clarity II is safe for all skin types, including tanned and darker skin. Common questions about this treatment

Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. We use the Clarity II which features a 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength. This bypasses the surface pigment of the skin to target the hair follicle directly, making it the safest and most effective option for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI).
How many sessions will I need?
Hair grows in cycles, and laser only targets hair in the active growth phase (Anagen). Typically, 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart are required to capture all hairs in this phase for optimal reduction.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a rubber band snapping against the skin. Our Clarity II system uses built-in Cryogen cooling that sprays a cooling mist milliseconds before the laser pulses, significantly reducing discomfort compared to older machines.
How should I prepare?
Please shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid waxing, plucking, or sun exposure (tanning) for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment, as the root must be present for the laser to work.
Can I laser if I am tanned?
We recommend avoiding active tanning (sun or beds) for 4 weeks prior. Laser is attracted to pigment; if your skin is tanned, it increases the risk of side effects. If you have a tan, please let us know so we can adjust settings or reschedule.
