What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal with the Clarity II uses dual-wavelength technology (755nm Alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG) for long-term reduction in unwanted hair. Clarity II is safe for all skin types, including tanned and darker skin, which sets it apart from older laser systems. Its IntelliTrak™ technology delivers energy consistently across the treatment area, keeping sessions faster and more comfortable thanks to built-in cooling.

FAQ

Common questions about this treatment

Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. The Clarity II uses a 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength that bypasses the surface pigment of the skin and targets the hair follicle directly. That makes it one of the safer, more effective options for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI).
How many sessions will I need?
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only targets hair in the active growth phase (anagen). Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart to catch as many hairs as possible in that phase and get the best reduction.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a rubber band snapping against the skin. Our Clarity II system sprays a cooling mist milliseconds before each pulse, which cuts down on discomfort compared to older machines.
How should I prepare?
Please shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid waxing, plucking, or sun exposure (tanning) for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment, as the root must be present for the laser to work.
Can I laser if I am tanned?
We recommend avoiding active tanning (sun or beds) for 4 weeks prior. Laser is attracted to pigment; if your skin is tanned, it increases the risk of side effects. If you have a tan, please let us know so we can adjust settings or reschedule.
