How is this different from Skin Pigmentation & Sun Damage or ClariToning?
AlexToning uses a 755 nm Alexandrite laser specifically for superficial pigment and freckles, and works best on light-to-medium skin tones. Skin Pigmentation & Sun Damage treatment uses the Frax 1940 laser for broader sun damage across the full face or chest and suits a wider range of skin tones. ClariToning combines two wavelengths for both surface and deeper pigment. Your provider will help determine the best fit.
How does AlexToning work?
The 755 nm Alexandrite laser selectively targets melanin clusters in the upper layers of the skin, shattering them so the body can remove them naturally.
Is AlexToning safe for all skin tones?
This specific treatment is best for light to medium complexions (Fitzpatrick I-III). For darker skin tones, we recommend our Nd:YAG or fractional options to avoid side effects.
What is the downtime?
None. Minor pinkness for a few hours post-treatment is typical. Spots may darken slightly before flaking off.
